Something Different

I did these pieces as a part of advent for church.  They're actually in reverse order.  The bottom one is representing the period of waiting.  One of the first things to come to my mind was that moment of tension right before the sun rises.  It's a moment where the whole world seems to be waiting in anticipation of the day.  The top one is celebration.  I wanted to stick with the nature theme so showed a spring morning as the animals are all waking up and rejoicing in the beginning of another day.
